This was our second time here. The first time, the food took a very long time to come out. This time, it was reasonably fast. Their spinach and artichoke dip is a little too creamy for my taste. The pita and chips were good quality. Their chili is a little on the spicy side, but still hearty and good. I wound up taking the salad to go. The onion rings are fantastic, though! Definitely must get if you’re here. Getting the check processed took a loooong time. The wait times are why I took a star off, otherwise I would’ve rated it four. Getting takeout was no problem at all. I think to prevent the wait time in the future, we may get takeout instead. The Chacha bowl was really good! When we went back for a third time, the wait wasn’t too long. Their Buffalo dip is fairly good, just very greasy. The Santa Fe salad was impressive! Our fourth time here was terrible service-wise. No one seated us, and it took a solid 20-30 minutes before a waitress even noticed us. The wait for food was a while as well. I don’t think I’d like to dine in again after this experience. Also, the Buffalo shrimp is quite dreadful— they tasted like the shells were still on them and they were really tiny. A lot of time passed between visits. This time it took close to 40 minutes for them to notice us and bring drinks. Food came out lukewarm, and that coleslaw in the tacos is dreadful. The mahi mahi and the fruit they put on it is good, but the rest of the taco was inedible. Atmosphere was okay, but the live music was too loud and of varying quality. Not a fan and will probably avoid coming back.

This place has been around quite awhile and it has been some time since I was there but the burgers are as good as I remembered. The best part is that they let you choose the wellness /cooked level you want and will actually cook it to that level. The burgers, buns, and sides are fresh and it makes a difference. I got the Lucy burger with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Delicious. Great bun in color, texture and size. Burger done the way I wanted. Plenty of mushrooms covered in the right amount of melted Swiss cheese. The person I was with got the Lemmy which was a patty melt. Both were good, but cheese on the patty melt wasn’t really melted …. :-(. We both got onion rings as sides. Great choice, highly recommend. They were not frozen and warmed up. They were whole rings, all various sizes with a light golden brown coating and sweet and sweet when eaten. Not to oily or greasy either. Very good! Our server was friendly and attentive. They have out door seating.

EDIT AFTER OWNER RESPONSE ***Re: owner response - your manager confirmed the menu did not include a credit card disclosure and that no signage was posted on the August night we visited. The itemized receipt did not include fee disclosure, only the final receipt. The waitress argued with us about the fries as a side order, wanted to charge us and only brought the fries with no charge after we insisted. Other customers have complained about the credit card fee. After the pandemic, when many businesses went cashless and folks now carry less cash as a result, it seems discriminatory to penalize credit card customers when payment processing is a cost of doing business. Your practice of passing on your fees seems to irritate many customers based on reviews here. There are a lot of new restaurants in Cary these days, recommend you evaluate your process, portion size and quality to stay competitive**** 3% Credit Card Fee added to the bill. We insisted the manager remove it since this fee is not disclosed anywhere on the menu or door signage. Payment processing is a cost of doing business, many establishments are cashless these days and it only irritates your customers to be nickel and dimed with passing on your fees on top of 20-30% food price increases. Fish and Chips meal - fish was old, tasteless and rubbery. Meal served with 3 hushpuppies on the side, no sign of fries. Had to argue with the waitress that the "chips" in "Fish and Chips" means French Fries - she finally brought some at no charge. Burger prices have gone way up while portions have gone down. Best part of the meal was the cold beer. I've had better (and cheaper) burgers at Five Guys. We won't return.

Food was average for Tavern food. But good enough for the price. We had a large party of 9. Items ordered in our party was George burger, basic burger, cha cha bowl, kids grilled cheese, Reuben, gyro, quesadilla. Waitress was lovely. Food took a while to come out. All items were correct per order request. I recommend if you want something inexpensive but not a chain fast food place.
