What’s better than waking up on a Saturday, taking a short drive to Durham, and indulging in and supporting all of the amazing local vendors of your community? From the fresh flowers, to the divine cheeses, and the massive park for kids to run around - it’s no question why it continues to be such a growing success. With summer coming in just a few weeks, don’t miss out on exploring all that the market has to offer.

Great selection from apple cider to zucchini squash. Plants and pastry perfection? You can get it here. Ostrich, buffalo, chicken and even vegan treats. My only complaint is at times when bands are playing and they get an audience, the audience will block the road and not realize that people can't walk around. People, keep your head on a swivel and pay attention to your surroundings.

We visited the Durham area and went to this farmers’ market during our trip. It was AWESOME! Tons of vendors, delicious baked goods, great outdoor spots to enjoy the area, including a playground for our kid.

The market itself is great but the inability for disabled individuals to attend is disgusting. It is a very popular event every Saturday morning through the spring, summer and fall however, most people have to park and walk a bit which is fine for most but the designated Handicap parking spaces are covered by vendors and no other accommodations are provided. I have spoken numerous times with Erin Kauffman, the Executive Director of Durham Central Park but have not been contacted with information about a change to this illegal quandary. I have spoken with the Federal office for the Americas with Disabilities Act and will go forward with a legal process if it's not charged for this season.

Really cute market with lots of veggies, meats, pastries, pottery, adult beverages and homemade/locally made goods. Definitely worth a visit, even if the weather is dreary. It seems like vendors prefer cash but do accept card payments as well. There were signed posted that dogs are not allowed under the covered part of the market.
