Maximillian's: A Hidden Gem
Our recent dining experience at Maximillian's was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Farm to Table menu was a delightful culinary journey. Our meal began with a perfectly prepared Focaccia served with a tangy black pepper balsamic vinaigrette. Next, we indulged in the Steakhouse Salad, a vibrant mix of fresh greens, crispy bacon, and a creamy blue cheese dressing.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the "Voodoo of the Day." This flavorful dish featured peppercorn-crusted NC Mountain Trout, a spicy Thai-inspired sauce, and succulent shrimp. The combination of complex layering of textures and flavors was simply outstanding.
For dessert, we enjoyed a rich and decadent Coconut Cake with caramel drizzle taken home that was the perfect ending to our meal.
Maximillian's is a true gem that has sadly been overlooked for far too long. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was relaxed and inviting. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

The chef and the staff were amazing. So many laughs and good energy was shared. During restaurant week they shared a specific menu. I had not experienced a grilled Ceasars salad or sugar cookie cheesecake. I'm totally thankful for the experience. Good food. Great service. Amazing atmosphere.

Food was incredible. Ben met all of my needs at every step of the way. Just an incredible server who's very attentive to patrons. I get the sense they really hire people of integrity. Ben was working hard all night it's great to see that kind of work ethic. I think I might love him. Kids got a great head of hair. Yummy yummy deliciousness. Would 100% come back the food was great the atmosphere was great but most of all Ben was amazing.

We had a work dinner, and the food was amazing. We had a large party of 15, but only one waiter. Wesley did an AMAZING job, but a second server might have been a nice addition. Drinks, apps, and food orders on one person is a lot. A great time was had by all.

We had dinner here 5/06/23. We walked right in and got a great table upstairs. We were celebrating our son’s graduation from NC State. Wow!!!! What an amazing culinary journey. Their offerings are all fresh. I was speechless with the presentation as well as the taste of the food. We had six people in our party and had a variety of their items. Their bar menu is also unique and very tasty. I ordered the Korean BBQ beef entree. It was nothing short of extraordinary. Perfect. Well seasoned with fresh herbs. My wife had Soft Shell Crab with fettuccine. Amazing. I keep saying amazing because it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. We asked to meet the chef, Maggie. Wow!!! She is an artist of fine cuisine. I wish I lived closer so I could go back. I will stop there when I am passing through the area. If you are reading this review, trust me, this is the spot for you to eat. It was a phenomenal evening. A perfect place to celebrate and share their menu. Perfect. Thank you Maggie and staff for the amazing meal and atmosphere. Thank you!!!
