Went here for dinner on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. The chips and salsa were very good and very free which rocked. The salsa was delicious and the chips were hot. We ordered the steak enchiladas and this dish was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant like this. The steak was cooked so perfectly and the rice and beans were not the typical greasy consistency which was nice. The margarita was pretty good and the 22 oz beer was as well. They have decent prices for drinks but their food items are a little bit pricier but they make up for it in their quality. The vibes inside the space are really great and the staff is super friendly and fun.

Starting with what I think could be improved: the music is repetitive and on a loop. It is fun and festive but also like a broken record that drills into my noggin. Need more variety in the playlist. The waiter we had seemed unhappy (this is the second time he was our server and it was worse the first time so I guess there's improvement in that regard). I definitely didn't want to feel like I'm bothering someone when I go out to eat.
Now the great: the California burrito was terrific - great flavors wrapped in a toasty flour tortilla. I'd come back for the food. Fun, colorful, and clean restaurant. Plentiful parking.

Classic Mexican at reasonable prices. The paradilla mix is an especially good deal. It has gotane asada, carnitas, chicken, shrimp, grilled vegetables, guacamole salad, beans, and rice! Free parking.

They have very little that's actually gluten free and vegan. So I ended up getting chips and guac with the side organic mixed greens salad. They were all decent and filling enough.
My girls got 2 lunch specials. And while they liked them, they both complained to me about how greasy the meat was. This was especially true of the beef dishes.
The service was decent, so no complaints there.

I don't wanna give this place a bad rating, but its important to share constructive feedback with the owners to take care of the problems. First of all, the place is designed with a great taste and lovely atmosphere.
But still after a few days since the visit, I am still suffering with severe headache after the strawberry Margarita (last time I had such reaction was 30 years ago from boxed wine).
The $19 portion was SO SMALL esp comparing to other Mexican restaurants in the more upscale areas of Triangle. I had like a dozen of shrimps in a sauce, 4oz of salsa/lettuce with a half-table spoon of guacamole, and like 4oz of black beans. It was tasty, but even for me who eats very little, this portion was not enough.
We had a large reservation (17 people). The tortilla chips were served with lovely sauce, and it took a LONG time before waiters came out to take our main order (like 15-20 min). The number of drinks came out more then we asked for and so instead of 4 plates of churros we had like 10-12.
My biggest issue with the place that our guests could not get dishes they ordered for a while, as waiters were super confused who gets what and it took them a long time to figure it out. There seems to be a huge issue with organization and communication. Otherwise, they worked fast, were friendly and efficient.
As a suggestion, I think it will be helpful for large reservations like this to have a dedicated supervisor making sure the orders are collected and delivered properly, as we ended up with a LOT of unneeded items. Thank you for your time to read this lengthy review. Hope it helps.
