Visited Mithai after a recommendation but for me it wasn’t the best experience or possibly we didn’t order the right ones…First of all the sweets we wanted were all pre-packaged in big boxes so we couldn’t customize it in small quantities as per our liking. My husband loves Bengali sweets and the Assorted Bengali Mithai box that we had was kinda okay, nothing exceptional. Besides that, I have seen small businesses charge card fee & it’s waived off for purchases above $10, mine was $15+ including tip, so was kinda surprised to see the fee (3.99%) on the receipt, just my observation, it wasn’t a big amount. The attendant was friendly though & good service. Having said that, we’ll be back sometime in future to try some savory items on the menu.

This place is authentically delicious nothing too good to be true. My stomach feels happy and content after eating the chats , the sweets are perfectly subtle not overly sweet, just really great quality ; and I love the subtle differences :) I’ve been all over North India. And yes I understand the difference but these treats are uniquley delicious. This chef and desert maker man has been there for over 20 years and the owner is co owner Keeping the business float for all of them to continue. God bless these small businesses and Craig, the owner , and his amazing chef that he always gives credit too. Thanks for making things that are digestible with real ingredients and no bad fats much obliged from my digestive track. Thanks you for all that you do !

What can I say that hasn’t already been said…I have multiple problems with this place. Came here on a recommendation from my friend, the owner is, let’s say, a character. The owner brought up topics that are not suitable to discuss with customers and frankly made me feel uncomfortable. After the pushy, unhinged conversation, we felt pressured to buy some of the desserts. While the deserts turned out to be alright, I have a serious issue with the way the owner conducts both in-person interactions and his responses to reviews. Calling people snowflakes and weak men is such a boomer way to avoid actual criticism and makes me wary of recommending this place to anyone else. Prices were a bit high which is fine…but I will not be coming back here. Avoid at all costs! Edit: Well as expected, the owner just demonstrated exactly what I was talking about in my review. Good luck man, such a narrow worldview.

What a cool little place! I came in last night looking for sweets and was the only customer at the time. The owner seemed happy to see me and when I asked for his suggestion he explained every sweet that he had on display to me which was an awesome experience. I ended up getting the raabri and the assorted Indian Mithai and even though I had never tried Bengali/Indian sweets before, I was very pleased with how each one tasted. Now I'm excited to go back and try other things on the menu! The price for the two items that I got was to be expected - I feel like I got a good value considering the fact that you wouldn't find sweets of this quality anywhere else for cheaper. I feel like the owner and his chef are passionate about their business/work and that Mithai is a great and unique addition to the community!

Came here after my friend recommended their sweets to me and was surprised at how good they were. Would be happy to come back more often if I lived closer. The owner was really cool and is definitely a real one!
