Big shout out to Roofwerks. They just completed installing a new roof at my house including new plywood throughout. Total replacement of old roof. Everything went perfectly from start to finish. Very dedicated hard working crew. And a special thank you to my project manager. Nat Taylor worked with me from the very start to get the roof I was looking for. He was on the job site everyday with some extra visits in between to ensure everything was going as planned. Great customer service and a really good price. Thanks again. Would use them again without a doubt.

Great experience! Nat worked with us through the whole insurance claim process as well as the installation process. Very thorough in his assessment of our old roof…no surprise costs at end of project. Roofing crew were respectful of our home and clean up was top notch. Roof looks great!

We chose Roofwerks to replace our roof because 1) their quote didn’t require replacing the plywood if the existing was still in good repair, 2) they came recommended by neighbors, and 3) they had great manufacturer & workmanship warranties. Once selected, they scheduled the roof replacement within 4 days! Their team showed up promptly morning of, and was finished before 1pm. While the team was speedy, they were meticulous! We’ve yet to find any lingering remains. They even spray painted the pipes protruding above the roof black to match, making it look just that much more refined. All in all, we saved ~$1.5K from choosing Roofwerks over Baker’s. Couldn’t recommend Fred Medlin & his team more.

TLDR: We thought we were picking a great company to replace our roof, but were quickly disappointed and ended up canceling our job with Roofwerks. Strike #1 day 1: The guys who came out to remove our gutters did not know which gutters to remove and had to ask me. Somewhere there was a breakdown in communication between Roofwerks and these guys because I should not have been playing project manager for Roofwerks. Additionally, this same team left about a dozen 8-9 inch long screws all around my house, as well as trash. (See pictures) Trash? Fine, I’ll pick it up. But a dozen huge screws, which I found in a 2 minute walk around my house? No, not acceptable. We reached out to the Roofwerks rep to show him the picture and express our dissatisfaction at these huge screws left all around our house. His response was “Hey, thank you for letting me know. You are correct that should not have happened in the first place. Have a good evening.” Two things were missing from this response- an apology, and a stated effort to not have it happen again. Strike # 2 on day 2: A different team came out to replace rotted fascia and soffit boards. Again, we had the same communication issue- the team did not know which fascia and soffit boards to replace and came to me to ask me. It’s not my job to know what needs to be replaced, that’s their job. More frustrating though, I walk into my back yard to find that the crew has plugged in their microwave to my exterior outlet and are heating up their food, with out asking. Additionally, one of them is SITTING ON MY GAS LINE while eating his food. We end up telling this team we’d like a timeout, because I need to talk with the Roofwerks rep before anyone touches my house. Roofwerks rep, to his credit, shows up at my house shortly later. We appreciated the priority he was giving this and hoped a talk with him could work these issues out. Lastly, Strike #3: Rep arrives at my house, and begins with “Alright, let me have it.” (or something to that effect). So we tell him all the details about what has happened today with strike #2 - from the lack of communication between the fascia/soffit team and Roofwerks, to not asking before plugging in the microwave, to one of the workers sitting on my gas line. He empathized with all our frustrations and apologized. He then proceeded to state many times that our roof is ‘a simple roof’ and he doesn’t know why the teams are having such problems. He said the work order to the fascia/soffit team said ‘replace any fascia and soffit that needs to be replaced. “I don’t know why that wasn’t clear to them”, he said. We agreed, but again we were back at the same response he had to strike #1, agreement that this should not have happened, but nothing about effort to try and keep it from happening again in the future. So we asked him how he was going to make sure this didn’t happen with the rest of our job. He could not give us a clear plan that made us confident, the best he could offer was rearranging his schedule to be here as much as he could for the rest of the project. But he is not a project manager. He wouldn’t normally have been here for the rest of the job, he was only offering to do this because we were upset. We did not feel very confident in this plan, he sells the roofs, but does he actually have any experience putting them on? Would he even know if the crew was doing it right? We ended up cancelling the job with Roofwerks and using Baker Roofing instead. 5/5 stars, they were excellent! When we called Roofwerks to let them know we were cancelling, they kindly let us go without putting up a fuss or trying to make us pay anything. For that, we gave them 2 stars, not 1.
