Superb place. Local small franchise offering a southern cooking spin on homey and Asian plates. Pad Thai, bibimbap bowl, scallops and pan seared chicken were all. All. all. Amazing. Generous portions. Kids played for $8 is huge too. Mac and cheese is superb. Great view of back of downtown apex too. Buddha bowl we have gotten before and it's super healthy and tastes great, but if you want full experience, go adventurous.

This was my first visit to the Apex Scrath Kichen location. A friend and I visited for an early dinner on a Thursday. They were not busy when we arrived, but they got busy as it got later. We were placed at a table for 2 in a very congested area and was distracting as it got more crowded. We got crab dip for an appetizer, and it was delicious. I ordered the chicken and my friend ordered scallops. Her scallops with risotto were chicken not so much. It was a lot of food, especially the Brussel sprouts, but the chicken was rather tasteless and a little dry. I did not expect this since they used a brine before cooking. Our server was good, but she had a lot of tables she was serving. I would return, but I would not order the chicken again. We ordered a peach cooler for desert and has to ask for ice cream to go with it. Dessert was delicious.

This was my first time dining here at this restaurant. The atmosphere in restaurant was great. Service was tentative. They provided warm towels to clean our hands. Foods here were unique, offering fusion dishes from Asian cuisine and southern cuisine. It has a little bit of everything, from Mac and cheese to Bibimbap. The portion was generous. I got sesame salmon and it was good. It came with well seasoned and well cooked salmon and sticky rice, which I thought was very interesting and tasty. They have local beers and other adult beverages. I would come back again to try other dishes.

We have been to Scratch for lunch, brunch and dinner, and we keep coming back for the lovely atmosphere, the great service, and (with a caveat) the menu. You really need to like spicy food in order to fully take advantage of Scratch, because the vast majority of the food is, well, SPICY. Lots of things made with Sriracha, hot sauce, wasabi, etc...there has been more than one occasion where I have had to send something back because it was delicious but just too hot spice-wise to eat. On the plus side, the cocktails and desserts are out of this world, and the staff is always super friendly. Scratch does not take reservations, so be prepared for a wait (especially on weekends), although if you come early sometimes you can grab a spot at the bar. Parking is free in the lot out back, although again it can be hard to get a place during the weekends.

This is a fusion of Southern and Asian food. The menu is innovative with a lot of creative touches to plate the best of both worlds. I really loved the Pork Belly Tacos!! Given the influence of Southern food, some of the items can be quite rich and decadent, nothing wrong but just something to consider based on what you enjoy. The staff is polite and friendly. This place can get busy in rush hours so keep that in mind. There’s a decent amount of parking that is shared with the businesses around.
