I found this hidden gem on google while searching for drinks after dinner, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The bartenders did a great job accommodating our special requests. My husband ordered an old fashioned with an extra shot, and I opted for the semisweet bruleed greyhound. Both drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. The ambience was so relaxing, we will definitely be coming back.

Prior to dinner we wanted a quick cocktail. We had been meaning to go here, but needed an excuse to be in Cary. The night finally came, we had dinner reservations just next door.
Upon entry, we were greeted by a nice hostess. Sat at the bar. Ordered some staples, Manhattan and Old Fashioned. Both were very delicious. The prices here are par for the course $9-$13. But there was some cheap beer and good beer and liquor combos.
Good amount of bartenders, I saw 6 for a 70% full bar, pretty good.
I’d go back for sure.

It’s so great to see places open back up. The SideBar is the best place in downtown Cary for professionally curated cocktails. From the simple dirty martini to more advanced creations. Top shelf and fresh ingredients and full selection of libations.
If you are new to the area remember street parking and the parking lot near the bar can be difficult. Plan on using one of the nearby city lots and its a pleasurable walk of one or two blocks

We enjoyed the cocktails, but when we asked for some nuts to accompany them, the waitress seemed surprised, as if it was the first time she'd ever heard such a request. She suggested that the restaurant next door might have them. I didn't interpret it as attitude, but rather as ignorance on her part. I think they should include some nuts to their menu to enjoy w the drinks

Dude, ya gotta go here. Cozy vibe offering well made + thought of craft cocktails. This spot seals the deal to end for an evening night cap. Similar to a speakeasy, just an overall good bar on the corner.
The bartender, Richard was excited + knowledgeable. Highly recommend giving the Brûléed Greyhound + Long Story Short a go!

Don’t worry, they carry the classic beer + wine in their cabinets too. So you can’t go wrong with your good ole PBR if that’s what floats your boat.
