This is my first time eating here. Ordered through Uber eats. I ordered the app spicy 9 sampler and bowl of the hill.
Sampler: first, I opened the plate and opened the sauce. I noticed a hair immediately in the sauce. At this point, I would usually not eat any of the food because it grosses me out, but I unfortunately am in the hospital with my dad and just spent $42 to have two things delivered here. (Here all day) so I gave the food a chance. The crab ragoons are very interesting. I’m sure with the sauce they would have been better, but the inside was different than any other crab ragoon I have had before. Not bad but not good either. The entire sampler was pretty neutral. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t good either. (Again, we were down a sauce. And sauce can definitely change the game)
The bowl: the bowl at first glance came with a lot of food. First bite was way tastier than the sampler. Great amount of tuna. The avocado was brown. The spring mix seemed wilted. The sauce is good and sushi rice consistency was great.
I gave it a 2/5 due to the hair, wilted ingredients, and lack of flavor in the platter. I may or may not try this place again(I’d get different items)

Excellent food and service, atmosphere was okay.
It’s not top of the line but it works for NC sushi.
Nigiri and Sashimi are not on the regular menu but they do offer it and have a menu for it. Giant pieces of sashimi!!!
Great value, super friendly and prices right!

I ordered general tso's chicken w/ extra chicken. Most of the chicken was overcooked and dry to the point that its consistency was closer to a jerky. I'm not a particularly picky eater, especially given I walked 2 miles round trip from Davis library to get this and was starving, but I had to throw most of it out (see picture below).
I don't like beating on restaurants because I know it's a tough business, but I cannot substantiate paying $20 for something of this quality. My hope is that this was a fluke and out of the ordinary for this restaurant.

Just above average. The appetizers left much to be desired. The calamari was rubbery and tough. The breading was too thick and lacked flavor. The sexy shrimp were better, but the wontons were slightly burnt. Thankfully the sushi and entrees were better. The bulgogi beef was very tasty. Well cooked, not too chewy, and the sauce was good. The kimchi that comes with it was good also. All of the sushi was also good quality. Service was slow. I'd go back for entrees, just skip the apps.

Been here several times and it has always been a great experience. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant offers a wide variety of menu items to choose from.
My favorites are the calamari and Thai coconut soup with chicken. We also tried the sushi rolls which have buy one get one free - the amount of food is more than sufficient for sharing within a group of 3-4 people and taste amazing.
Students can get discounts on dine-in or online orders if they present their valid student IDs.
