Tarheel basement systems was very effective in communicating and explaining thoroughly on what we wanted and explained exactly what we were paying for. We were able to opt out of some things to fit our budget while still doing what was necessary. We were able to get our crawlspace done sooner than planned and they did a nice job. Ian, John, Paul, and Austin cleaned up every bit of their mess and made sure that we were satisfied with the final walk through. They even took a picture of some duct work that was corroded that we were unaware of.

Great Afternoon, and our team Leonard, Mekhi, and Kevin: were great and professional in completing our crawlspace and installing all equipment for humidification, etc. Leonard, kept my husband abreast each day on the step by step servicing. We appreciated the communication on such a large job and it truly eased our concerns. Thank you so much and I would highly recommend Tar Heel Basement and this team of installers too :)

I called Tarheel Basement Systems about some soft spots in my floor. They sent out an inspector within a week. Michael was up front and honest from the start, showing us pictures of the insulation and measurements of humidity levels in the crawl space. We decided on repairing the sub floor and encapsulating the crawl space. Melita was super helpful with financing. When the day of installation came, the foreman, Ray M, walked the site with me to make sure we were all on the same page and provided pictures at the end of every day showing the progress and gave me an updated timeline of the project. His team, Jorge and Greg, were both incredibly respectful and efficient at their work. I couldn’t have asked for more transparency throughout the project, and I highly recommend Tarheel Basement Systems.

Poor communication, poor craftsmanship, overpriced!
My family has been having problems with our crawlspace being musty.
I hired Tarheel as they had great reviews and were priced as a quality provider.
Took Tarheel Basement Systems 3 visits to get their handiwork up to par, they even told me they fired their first crew. They broke my furnace on the first visit and I had to have an emergency HVAC tech come out to fix as it was below freezing.
They had horrible internal communications. I’m still very upset about my experience with them. My crawlspace is still musty to boot.
Giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because they at least came back 2 additional times, but they overall did a horrible job. They tried to collect payment before the job was done several times.
Hire this company if you want to pay a lot and not have your problems solved.
The cosmetic issues in the photos attached were ultimately resolved, but after 2 revisits. What a joke. Now my crawlspace is sealed and it looks nice but it’s still musty. Waste of money. Can you imagine trying to collect after this craftsmanship?

We could not be more pleased with the extensive work that was done to our property. Each crew assigned to the various phases of the project did an outstanding job and were very respectful. The crew of Josue, Derrick and Dominique that completed our job today did an excellent job and were great to work with. Other previous crew members Gus, Felipe and Anthony were equally excellent.
Ben was great in diagnosing the issues and handling the contracts. He was very responsive to our needs. Thanks to all!
