I’ve been wanting to try this cafe for a while and finally stopped in. I ordered the falafel wrap and it was made in a timely manner to-go. The pita wrap was delicious and crunchy and the falafel was extremely flavorful! Everything was fresh and crisp and the wrap was overflowing! The price was reasonable and service was friendly. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone!

My third visit....and now, I'm a believer!! This restaurant is a Rock Star effort! The Taste of Ethiopia entree took me back to my days of residing in New York City and even college life in Washington, DC; where I experienced fine dining in East African restaurants. The Hibiscus Tea is lightly sweetened and deeply aromatic and robustly satisfying. The ambiance is charming. The service is world class. Truly Elated to experience such a Fabulous vegan restaurant!!

Extensive and creative selection of vegan options. Got the munchie platter, which was easily almost ten pounds and came with pita and multiple sauces on the side. The vegan gyro meat had a great flavor and texture. Vegetables were fresh. The hibiscus tea was also strong and tasty! Service was friendly and kind. Will be back to try more of the menu.

Delicious. Love the food and people are so nice. I live in Charlotte and take every opportunity in the Apex/Raleigh area to eat at the Vegan Community kitchen! I was in town and so excited to have dinner, fabulous Taste of Ethiopia platter.

i'm really torn a bit with this place- i want to like it because it's a vegan restaurant.. i kind of liked my "kitchen burger" (the sauce on it wasn't the greatest- it had an odd taste); my daughter got the mac/cheese and broccoli which she said tasted like pizza (she liked it for that reason, but was a little too spicy for her liking); my son got the "vegan pizza" that came with "fajita veggies" (which i assumed just meant green bell peppers and onions- i did not realize they were seasoned as such) the disappointment on his face had me gutted (he was very excited for his vegan pizza).. upon further inspection of this "pizza" i came to realize the crust was just a giant burrito sized tortilla shell with sauce, i think it had some refried beans on it, fajita veggies, and a light sprinkling of cheddar cheese- this "pizza" tasted like a fajita.. i don't know if we'll ever go back here (this was our second time- our first experience too was so-so) i personally may give it one last try but i know i won't ever take my kids (age 12 and 10) here again.. i spent about $45 here on just us three, about $10-15 per person (one item per person, no drinks).. i wanted to give this place at least three stars but as i was typing this i remembered how bad that "pizza" was, and the fact that it was the most expensive item i bought- he didn't eat it (he doesn't like fajita seasoning).. nor did it even look appealing (see photos),, also my burger was really chewy- in a rubbery way, like it was overcooked.. very nice person that took my order though!! she gets five stars-- just the food gets two..
